The bales have appeared outside my house, meaning that summer is over. It was nice while it lasted.

If we hit temps over 80 again I’ll be surprised. Last week was the hottest of the summer, peaking around 95 deg.

Meanwhile, in my Chrome...
CB has appeared. I’m guessing you aren’t named after the United States Census Bureau though...

We had temps in the upper 90s for two or three days last week and then they came crashing down but we’re supposed to be in the mid-80s for a while. I can live with that.

Oh man, I wish summer was over in Southern NM. I’m ready for November again.

Yeah, we’re down to single digits here at night. It’s crazy.

Yup, it’s windy as can be out here (well, sometimes).

And yet, when I post the -40 stuff in the winter, I bet you’ll be thinking “thank goodness I live in New Mexico”.

Our fields grow marshmallows in the middle of the summer. It’s wind-down season here now, with the pumpkin patches and corn growing.
The white ones are ripe; the green ones are immature marshmallows.

Most likely, but I’ve never lived any place that really has Winter with a capital “W”. I only visit it to go skiing, or occasionally winter camping up in the mountains. I’m not opposed to someday trying out a place where the sun isn’t hateful, oppressive orb of despair in the sky. If nothing else, it would be different.
